چکیده

For medical biomaterials, xyloglucan dispersions can form films or gels to be applied as a wound dressing. this purpose, the structural characterization of dressing (XG) and containing 0.5 mg/mL concanavalin A (XGL) was performed. The lectin release capacity stability, cytotoxicity, pro-wound healing effects were also investigated. XG XGL prepared by mixing % (w/v) with 0.3 (v/v) glycerol. ConA incorporated in maintained its biological activity for fourteen days controlled-release manner. non-toxic, homogeneous, flexible, accelerated contraction compared control group, promoting less infiltration inflammatory cells, angiogenesis, remodeling, early epithelization. alleviate inflammation phase reducing production pro-inflammatory cytokines (IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-12), especially film, which promoted up- down-regulation important proteins associated repair. All these findings suggest that may represent good therapeutic approach applications.

The Effects of Topical Sildenafil on Wound Healing in Rat

Nitric oxide (NO) is an important molecule synthesized during wound repair. Studies have reported the use of NO donors on cutaneous wound repair, but their effects in different phases of healing are not elucidated. The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of topical sildenafil on wounds in rats. Sildenafil (25 mg) was topically applied once daily on wound in treatment groups. On...

A New Mathematical Model to Investigate Drug Treatment on the Overall Process of Wound Healing

The absence of a universally accepted mathematical model for assessment of the effectiveness of drugs in the process of wound healing is one of the problems the health professionals have been faced. In this study, an “empirical” mathematical model is presented to evaluate its reliability from an experimental viewpoint and from a comparative aspect with previous models used to study wound healin...
